Naruto Uzumaki (うずまきナルト, Uzumaki Naruto) is the main character of the series which started as 'Naruto' and is seeming to be eternal and every week we get a new episode of the new series 'Naruto Shippuden' . Originally "Naruto' was released as a manga and not episodes but since the manga became a popular hit among the fans of manga art , the episodes were also released worldwide and dubbed into many languages like English and Hindi for the worldwide fans to be understood.
Naruto is an idiot at first when he tries to gain everyone's attention by doing the weirdest or I'd rather say the grooviest acts . He has only 2 places to hang out in Konoha when the series start i.e. Ichiraku Ramen Shop and Iruka Sensei but later on as the series progresses he makes many new comrades of which the ones closest to his heart are Sakura Haruno , Kakashi Hatake , Sasuke uchiha , Jiraiya , Lady Tsunade e.t.c.
Naruto was given a title of 'The Number One Hyperactive Knucklehead Of Konoha' due to his extreme braveness and rivalry against Sasuke Uchiha who came to be the best buddy of Naruto . On the mission of helping the bridge builder the squad seven saw the dedication of Naruto towards his mission where he cuts his hand with a kunai in order to let the poison of 'The Demon Brothers' flow out , unaware of the fact that that wound could lead to his death , however , the wound was healed fast due to the kyuubi inside of him . 
Naruto is a Jinchuriki , with 'The Nine Tailed Demon Fox' sealed inside of him with the help of a special seal his father Minato Namizake gave him , in times of devastation and emergency the kyuubi lends it's chakra to Naruto giving him power enough to defeat the most powerful member of the Hyuuga Clan - Neji Hyuuga during the Chuunin Exam . However , this method of controlling the demon inside of him was told to Naruto by the Sannin Jiraiya who is always busy in his research on girls but when it comes to his fighting skills he stands equal to Orochimaru , who is going to train Sasuke Uchiha the last of the extinct Uchiha clan who is now a fugitive because of his escape from Leaf Village to the lair/Hideout of Orochimaru in order to become the most power ful so that he can defeat his brother Itachi Uchiha who ended the whole of Uchiha Clan on the order of third Hokage - Sarutobi and left his beloved brother Sasuke alive , unaware of this fact Sasuke seeks to avenge the assassination of his clan . Jiraiya taught Naruto almost every single technique along with the Rasengan , Toad summon and Sage Mode 
Naruto's father was the fourth hokage Minato Namizake and his mother was Kushina Uzumaki who was herself a Jinchuriki but naruto was not given the surname of his father and rather his mother because the third hokage did not want Naruto to know that he had any relation with the fourth hokage and told the people of Konoha to respect him as a hero as he was the only one who saved them by sealing the jinchuriki inside of him . The ignorance which Naruto faced gave him a goal to achieve in his life - To be a Hokage someday ! So, that everyone would know him and respect him and he's gonna do it BELIEVE IT !!
